NLs, I wonder if anyone has noticed that without any notice, MTN has cancelled the special call rates to those on our Friends & Family list. They now charge N53.33k/sec = N32/min for Friends & Family members & non-members alike. To fool unsuspecting subscribers though, dialling *560# will still show ur list of F & F members.

That's not all, it's easier for U to remove a member from the list but U are subtly blocked from adding a new number: U'll simply be told 'we're experiencing a network error, please be patient while we fix the problem.'

Zain too don't allow U to add a new number to ur F & F list. Though in their case, they still apply d half rate agreed with their subscribers.

But the question is why are these pple going from bad to worse? Could we say it's because Mr. Ernest Ndukwe led NCC has been dealing with these capitalists with kid gloves, at the expense of millions of Nigerians? What's going on?[url][/url]

I doubt the allegation. I still call FAF number today and it was the same half charge they promised to be charging. Though, if u are on MTN network, u need to migrate to xtraconnet.

As for Zain, it is still the same.

Pls let it be duly noted dt Mtn F&F is 4 xtra connect only. I've been on xtra connect 4 over a yr nw n d tariff has nt changed.
Here's d deal,
Xtra connect: no midnight calls, unlimited 'call me back' daily, 7 naira sms, 4 family n friends numbers, lower tariff esp during weekends (i luv wkends on xtraconnect) etc
xtra cool: midnyt calls frm 12:30 am to 4:30 am, 5 naira sms, no family & friends, i think 6 call me back daily or so, free mms monthly (cant remember hw many), n some web stuff lyk dt.
Pls do call 180 to confirm. So if u r d midnyt call type no family n friends 4 u!

Of Zain, I do not know, they have been the biggest exploiter so far.

Are u sure xtraconnect get unlimited call me back i thought it was like twelve as for me i have since migrated to xtrapro nd its a hell lot cheaper than xtraconnect and at just 500 naira its a must to anybody that makes lots of calls to different numbers

Middle of this year, i was in extra cool, so i migrated 2 extra connect and have 4 free F&F numbers to registered. So i registered d 4 numbers with 0.00 naira, i bought 100card, after loading within 5seconds they wiped my 100.i called their care centre they refuse 2 pic. I bought another 100card and immediately i dia a number and call 4 some seconds. They removed 30naira. So i kept the phone.Within an hour they removed 50naira.I said 2 my self what could b d reason? So i deleted all d numbers i registered, Last month i tried it with 1 number with 0.00 account. Still when i load they deducted their 50box.
Doesn't mean no more F&F free registration!

i think fg should look seriously into the services been offered to subscribers by these networks.

I have been using MTN xtracool for the past 2years & there hasn't been any change in their tarrifs, i would also implore the poster of this topic to verify next time before crying wolf.

for the best of F&F try Zain Joli Paddi, it allows 10 numbers on ur family and friends list, charge is just 0.25k/sec to F&F numbers and 0.50k/sec to all other numbers both zain and other networks, dat translates to N12.50k per min F&F and N30 per min for other networks, coool

I don't think I will agree with the poster because just today I was able to add a friend's Nos. to my F & F list and also confirmed it on the Zain network though,I can't speak for MTN subscribers @ this time.But even for Zain subscribers I still doubt their so called F & F tariffs.
