Memo To Ekiti Workers, As Civil Servants Demand For Pay

For the first time in a long time, Ekiti workers appear set to free themselves loose from the "hypnotised grip" of Governor Ayodele Fayose, who makes lies and falsehood a major blank of his administration to have a firm grip on Ekiti people.
He assumed office announcing over-bloated debts owed by former Governor Kayode Fayemi and deceived the people with over-bloated deductions from Ekiti federal allocation, saying Ekiti would be in debt till 2036.
He denied receiving N2b Ecological Fund and N22b refunds on federal roads executed by Fayemi. But Dayo Adeyeye and President Goodluck Jonathan blew the lid off Ekiti people's eyes when they declared at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium that the money had been paid to the state.
Fayose never relented in his lies, as he insisted that he never collected any refund. He never confessed collecting the N2b Ecological Fund until APC was about to approach the Fund Office in Abuja with FOI Law to get the details of cash payment of Ecological Fund to Ekiti State.
Three days after Fayose confessed collecting N2b Ecological Fund, he announced that he had awarded ecological disaster control contract, curiously totalling exactly N2b. This is outside his monthly trips to Dubai immediately after the sharing of federal allocation. Recent documents by the EFCC show that Fayose is among Nigerian political office holders owning multi-billion naira mansions in Dubai.
At home, he made it plain that Ekiti State is broke and that he could not guarantee regular salary payment. He claimed that he paid the same salary (N2.6b) as Fayemi, even though he had laid off about 27,000 Ekiti people that Fayemi paid one form of salary or allowance in one way or the other.
For Ekiti workers, some of whom swore with their children to reject Fayemi for Fayose, find below the details of the numbers of the people hired by Fayemi but who Fayose has sent packing, yet making you his "mugus" to believe that he pays the same salary as Fayemi, while in actual fact, he is exploiting your "stupidity" as he often says that "Ekiti go" (stupid) to cause you pain while stealing your money to acquire mansions abroad:
• Fayemi hired 708 board members. Fayose reduced them to 50. Fayemi had 429 SAs/SSAs, Fayose reduced them to 11. Fayemi appointed 735 Ekiti people into the 16 LGS and LCDAs, but Fayose reduced them to 80. Fayemi's cabinet had 43 members, but Fayose reduced them to 21.
Fayemi engaged 800 peace corps members with each earning N20,000.00 per month while Fayose has none.
Fayemi hired 535 Ekiti people into EKSTMA, each taking N25,000.00 per month, but Fayose reduced them to 35, while in Paramedics, Fayemi engaged160 Ekiti people but  Fayose has none.
Fayemi paid Senior Citizens (Owo Arugbo) totalling 19,627, each taking  N5,000.00 monthly but Fayose has cancelled the scheme.
In Youth Volunteers Scheme, Fayemi hired 5,000 youths each taking N10,000.00 monthly while Fayose has none.
This is besides Fayose himself disclosing that he discovered 500 ghost workers during staff audit exercise.
All workers can confirm these figures in the office of the Accountant General, Ministry of Finance and SSG's office.
The question is: how can you have this statistics and Ekiti workers believed for a long time that Fayose is paying the same salary as Fayemi until they now realise that Fayose has been duping them?
The truth is that what we have in Ekiti State is a rogue regime that appears to hypnotIse Ekiti workers for a long time, shutting their sense of reasoning before hunger forced them to rediscover themselves again.
Does Fayose have money to pay workers with these facts? What is Fayose doing in Dubai every month immediately after collecting federal allocation. Where are the accounts that Fayose keep all sorts of suffocating taxes he has forced on Ekiti people, including poor petty traders?

Where does he keep all illegal charges he is forcing the banks to pay for road and electrification projects? Where does he keep all suffocating fines he imposes on Ekiti people on traffic offences? How did he spend N9.6b bailout he collected at the time the governor was owing one month salary? What did he do with the balance after paying just one month salary?
Fayose has borrowed N10b for his fly-over project in secret collusion with the House of Assembly without telling Ekiti people and without knowing the terms of repayment. This debt and the N9.6b bailout is what Fayose is mischievously adding to Fayemi's debt but which he will not allow Ekiti people to know.
Why did Kayode Oso run away from Fayose's administration? What is Fayose doing with a custom-made safe manufactured in South Africa that he keeps secretly in Afao from which his son recently stole N50m?
These are the questions Ekiti workers must begin to ask in demanding for their right to their salaries, as Fayose devises new means of conning Ekiti people again.
