everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.

As simple and natural as it is,sleep is vital to our
life and key to good health.
Nobody can dispute that adequate sleep helps
maintain a healthy heart,reduces stress,fights
depression, and energizes your body for needed
function. On the other hand,inadequate sleep at
night robs your body system of its natural capacity
to heal. Why? It is because naturally, your body
system produces more protein during sleep...it is
this process that facilitates the cells in your body
to repair any decay or potential damage to your
health.
Of all the reasons to get a good night's sleep,
protecting your heart might not be top of mind.
Sleep duration has decreased 1.5 to 2 hours per
night for individual in the last 50 years. But several
recent studies show links between shortened sleep
duration defined as less than 6 hours of sleep,and
increased risk of heart disease.
A 2011 European Heart Journal review of 15
medical studies involving almost 475,000 people
found that short sleepers had a 48% increased risk
of developing or dying from coronary heart disease
(CHD) in a 7 to 25-year follow-up period and a
15% greater risk of developing or dying from stroke
during this same time. Interestingly,long sleepers-
those who averaged nine or more hours a night
also showed a 38% increased risk of developing or
dying from coronary heart disease and a 65%
increased risk of stroke.
SLEEP AND TESTOSTERONE
Testosterone,a male hormone, is highest during
sleep,and highest during the best part of
sleep,known as REM sleep. REM sleep is Rapid Eye
Movement, a time of your sleep you dream. The
hormone starts rising when you go to bed and
peaks in the morning at about dawn.
That's why dawn is the most fertile time for a
man,the best time to impregnate. You will spill the
most sperm,and the best long-distance
swimmers,at dawn.
These all night hormone spikes are also why men
will get multiple erections,lasting on average for
fifteen minutes, the precise length of a testosterone
release circle,and this happens when you are
asleep. That's why men (should) wake up with
erections.
SLEEP,EMOTIONS AND THOUGHTS
During sleep,you de-stress,rejuvenate your
drive,and recharge your energy. It's when you
refortify your ambition and creativity. It's when you
fix yourself up and settle new ideas in the mind.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF SLEEP
Sleep is when you strengthen your
bones,muscles,memories, blood, sperm,and new
learning. It's when your onboard diagnostics and
your immune system self-heal and detoxify. It's
when you repair both physical and psychological
wounds. It's when you grow both physically and
psychologically.
Good hormones lead,trigger, oil, oversee,contribute
to,mediate,or are involved in all of these restorative
processes. The better you sleep, the more these
hormones shine. As the hormones level rise,they
promote other brain chemicals important for
quality sleep.
Here is where the effect kicks in: the more
refreshing your sleep is,the more your body will
produce good hormones and the more you
experience their greater benefits to greater effects
to build better production capacity.
By the time you are forty- five years old,you will
have spent one-third of your life asleep. That's
