But wait o, did Tinubu just realized that democracy is a battle and not a banquet
And while you people were campaigning, you presented democracy as a banquet they've been missing all this while, just in a bid to hijack power from your opponent. Now, breeze don blow, we don see the yanch of a fowl. It has now been seen that your party scammed Nigerians.

Now, you yourself have now admitted that there are hardship, hyper inflation, recession, gross unemployment, and the likes in the land.

Abeg, APC members, go back to the drawing board.

By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor

All Progressives Congress, APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian democracy partisans not to lose hope upon present economic challenges, saying that the quest for democracy is a battle and not a banquet. In his Democracy Day message to the nation, Tinubu who affirmed that Nigeria is just about out of the woods nevertheless urged the authorities to choose to fight recession instead of inflation in the face of the stagflation that had confronted the country.

Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, said that fighting recession would help to create jobs, boost infrastructure and raise economic morale before subsequently tackling the inflation.

Noting the difficulties currently facing the nation, Tinubu while affirming that there was no better option to stick with than democracy said: “Remember, the quest for democracy is a battle not a banquet. We must stick with it and not give up hope, just when fairness and justice have finally gotten the upper hand. We must persevere not just until the tide of battle seems to have turned in our favour, but until the opponents of democracy have been decisively and thorough bested.

“Thus, we do not relent in defending democracy just as we should not relent in expecting the benefits inherent in democratic good governance. This means we must not sit back and merely let government contest with those who would again turn government against the general welfare. All of us must join the fray because the fray is about us when we live in a manner than fulfils our national purpose.

On challenges he proffered his counsel: “There is a problem that cuts all areas equally. If we are not careful, it will afflict us a long time to come. In a cold, swift stroke, the decline in oil prices has turned into a mockery the model upon which we had for so long based our political economy. We either must waste away or construct a new model.

“Our economy should diversify by expanding our infrastructure network, bolstering agricultural and farm incomes, as well as filliping industry and manufacturing to provide jobs for a rapidly expanding urban work force.”

Good morning good citizens of Nigeria!

My guy, this government would have done far better on assuming office if it had immediately swung into action to appoint ministers,Set up a sound economic team to look into ways of diversifying the economy and passed the budget as at when due.If he had took off from where GEJ stopped things would my haven't gotten this bad.CONTINUITY is what we need once a new government comes into power. Now his government has to work extra hard to try to reverse prices of commodijties which have sky rocketted to where the were before now by 2018,if not his government would be seen as not have done nothing to improved on the lives of the masses. As we know it's difficult to push prices of goods and services downwards in Nigeria because of our get rich quick syndrome mentality except there is vigorous competition in every manufacturing and production sector. Then prices once more become competitive. We should go beyound looking at ethnicity and religion when seeking someone to rule us rather we should look at calibre and track record of person who can deliver on the job,EVEN IF HAS TO BE A NORTHERNER AGAIN,no problems as far as he can deliver on the job.

Prices of some commodities before he came into power(in my location)

A tin of garri #1,100, Now #2000
A mudu of rice #300, Now. #450
A mudu of beans #250,Now #400
A carton of sapgetti #2200 Now #2800
A bag of sugar #7,500, Now #11,000
A bag of corn #7,000,Now #13,000
A bag of fish powder#13,500,Now #18,000
Tummy tummy noodles #1,800,Now #2,100
G/oil n red oil #220,Now #350
A crate of egg #650,Now #750
Matches #5 ,Now #10
Etc,Etc,Etc I could go on and on and on.But my battery is almost flat cos no light to charge my phone.

If you are patriotic Nigerian and at this rate you feel things are okay I think you need to rethink.
