They are rival pageants. MBGN is most beautiful girl in Nigeria and they are the ones that have rights to represent Nigeria at the Miss World contest. They outsmarted Miss Nigeria organisers when they obtained the rights and even had a court case about it thats why Nigerian contestants at the Miss world contest wear an "MBGN" sash instead of "Miss Nigeria" sash like other countries

I did not know this. Who are the organizers of Miss Nigeria? I know Silverbird organizes MBGN.
