Your new Mohammed Barkindo OPEC boss was like Rilwanu Lukman - both from the north where the crude oil doesn't exist. They llanded the post because of one Nigeria.

It is part of the issue that oil is found in the south, but north benefits more from it.

Kachikwu completed Deziani's tenure as OPEC President, Barkindo is OPEC Secretary-General (the most powerful position in the organisation). Am suprise you don't know the difference.

Please politics and tribalism apart. The question is can anyone explain why Barkindo and not our minister for petroleum that doubles as NNPC GMD is not chosen. Since I have been reading paper and followings news. Most if not all former OPEC leader were minister for petroleum in their states. This is really disturbing I won't lie to you. Kachiwcku is happy because he is a big man and he doesn't need the post but I am saying this for Nigerias sake.

A lot of folks spew rubbish in ignorance. Barkindo is well known within the OPEC quarters. Barkindo was PA to Rilwan Lukman and had been seconded to OPEC for a 10year period in the past. If anybody has the requisite qualification for the post, it is him
