Following the decisions arrived at the just concluded 2016 jamb combined policy meeting on admissions to universities,polytechnics and other higher institions in Nigeria,the 2016 official cut off mark has been pegged at 180 for universities,polytechnics,and college of educations. This implies that no higher institution;universities,polytechnics,colleges of education recognized by JAMB will go below 180. Similarly,the decision to scrap post-UTME was taken.This means that institutions will no longer conduct post-UTME screenings. According to the minister of education,Mallam Adamu Adamu,there is confidence in what JAMB is doing and hence no need to conduct another examintion for candidates seeking admission into higher institutions. |
