WHAT IS PRE-POOING?
Pre-pooing is short for Pre-shampoo. It
is a treatment you do before you
shampoo your hair so as to add or
retain moisture in your hair follicles. It
can be done with oils or conditioners or
both. You can also add Natural products
like avocado, bananas, honey and
yoghurt in your prepoo mixture. And it
can stay in the hair from about 30
minutes long to overnight. Depends on
personal choice and what your hair
needs.

WHY SHOULD WE PRE-POO?
We pre-poo our hair because it is a
very imperative treatment for longer,
stronger, healthier hair. Pre-poo nurtures our hair, saves us from
dry, brittle hair, retains our moisture,
and softens our hair.

BENEFITS OF A PREPOO
– Our hair dries out fast. A prepoo
treatment re-introduces moisture back into the hair. We
need moisture and a prepoo is an
important way to get it. It gives is
added moisture and it restores lost
moisture.
– Believe it or not, it helps detangle
your hair. Those knots and tangled,
doing a prepoo will loosen them. Also
makes detangling easier.
– Helps reduce and prevent breakage of
hair.
– Helps you grow out healthy hair. You
should see changes in your length if you
prepoo whenever you wash your hair
with a shampoo. Also helps to retain
length.

HOW TO PREPOO
Since you’re doing it before you wash,
it’s done on dry hair.
1. Part hair into 4 or more sections.
2. Coat each section with your prepoo
mixture and detangle as you coat.
3. Make sure mixture goes from root to
tip.
4. Cover up with a shower cap. Sit
under a steamer if you can. Or you can
just stay where there’s a little heat. Let
it sit for 30 minutes or more (can go
overnight) then you wash as usual.
