The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has announced the examination dates for her October Licensing Exam.. The Licensing exam will be held from Wednesday 5th - Friday 7th of October 2016 @ Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Zaria Kaduna state.

The examination is mostly for Doctors (Nigerians and Non-Nigerians) who were trained outside of Nigeria.
Candidates who have written the exam for three consecutive time are not allowed to sit for the exam again unless they undergo 12 months of attachment in an accredited medical school in Nigeria
The exam consist of about four components, namely; MCQs, Essays, Practical test and Clinical Examination. However there is also an additional English paper for non-English speaking candidates.

Before a candidate is qualify to write the exam he/she must participate in the four month remedial course before the exam.
