How Do I Boost My Site Loading Time by Ynaira: 12:24am On Jun 05, 2016 |
Hi Guys, I opened a news blog, initially the site loading time was 6secs, but it increased to 15.75sec. i asked my programmer, he said i should reduce my posts to 10 per day, but not comfortable with that. He also said, the speed can improve if i begin to pay $30-$50 per month. Abegi kilode, is this what every blog that have 4secs speed pay monthly. I need your advice. |

Ynaira: Lol, be very careful with that programmer... Please share the link here Here are somethings you can do.... Make sure your host is fast Download an effective caching plugin Use a plugin to optimize the WordPress database Use a plugin to optimize all images cause that's one of the main things that slows down loading Disable all plugins and see if the load time improves. If it does, then it could be a plugin (I've seen alot of such cases) You can email me so we can check it out together 3 Likes |

What is the site you are talking about? |
Re: How Do I Boost My Site Loading Time by Julius2214(m): 6:34am On Jun 05, 2016 |
I agree with @FincoApps. Since its WordPress, then it gets easier. 1. Use a caching plugin. I recommend W3 Total Cache which is free and has all the features you need. 2. Large images can also reduce your page loads. So, optimising your images will also help in making your blog load faster. You can optimise your images with WP-SmushIt. It's also a free plugin Get over 170 public and master resale rights eBooks 3 Likes |

My candid advice change your hosting.... You see, I had the same problem. I developed a social media site and I went for one of the biggest hosting company around "Godaddy" These guys have been there for long N THEY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST SERVICES. So I thought... I later realized that the responsive mails after signup could take an average of 5 minutes and sometimes loading pics and other media could take some time too. After spending several minutes calling their customer service, I later realized they wanted me to upgrade my RAM and core on the server, after paying thousands now they want me to pay more.... So I decided to opt out and I went to Hostgators and this time I went for cloud hosting which is 2 times faster than the conventional shared hosting..... So my advice is change your hosting and instead of using shared hosting go for cloud hosting. You wont regret it 2 Likes 1 Share |

Reduce your site image size Don't post videos directly...rather link them to another file sharing site Keep your page sizes fairly small Don't have much broken links on your page Don't add much formatting to your texts 2 Likes |

Just use Google's developer speed test and see all you need to fix. Mostly; 1.cache 2. Optimizing pictures 3. Removing scripts from the head 4. Minify your scripts and style sheets 5. Check for the best optimized .htaccess 6. Your server, make sure your server is fast 7. Your theme. Some themes are just bulky some are developed with fast loading in mind. 1 Like |

They've said it all: 1. W3 Total Cache... 2. Optimize your images. 3. Move to a new host. TrafficPlanetHosting is fast AF. And their support is something else. 4. Use a CDN. Your theme could also have shitty code... |
Re: How Do I Boost My Site Loading Time by Christensen: 9:12am On Jun 05, 2016 |
Always make sure you compress your images before posting, Photoshop is a great tool to do that. |
Re: How Do I Boost My Site Loading Time by BuddhaPalm(m): 9:14am On Jun 05, 2016 |
macsome: Nope... Except your content is on how to locate the Elixir of Life, no one will wait around for 15 seconds for it to load. Because of the overwhelming abundance of alternative stimulus, humans now have a shorter attention span than the goldfish. Additionally, if your site is fast, you also get some Google love... 1 Like |

Reduce :: *libraries. Like unnecessary plugin and frameworks *high quality images better still compress them * check your java and php script properly to avoid loop or constant redirection Use a goood hosting server I recommend name.com |

Remove the image background I see on ur site or better still, compress it. You really don't need that background image cos it's not even related to ur site. |

Please before doing anything!! https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ Use this free tool to get what is actually wrong! It might be a host of things: 1. Hosting resources - How much RAM/CPU/Network bandwidth is allocated to your web hosting (I'm sure you are just one website (worker process) amongst 1000's running on the same server(s).) 2. Programming/Rendering - How has your page been set up to fetch resources like pics, do you have databases attached? 3. Sods Law - 1 million and 1 things can be going wrong (Problem may be local to you! Someone else might have better speed!) Thank me later sha! |
