NASU REJECTS NEW OAU VC: HEADS TO COURT

Non-Academic staff union of universities has rejected Professor Salami as the new OAU VC.
Comrade Wole Odewunmi while speaking with Insider news confirmed the appointment of Professor Salami.
Comrade Wole faulted the process that brought in the new vice chancellor, ” we will protest the illegal appointment that was made from Abuja, Prof Salami should come and tell us he is the new vice chancellor, in fact we are heading to Osogbo federal high court tomorrow (7th of June) however we will not go on strike, we will stay and fight the battle”

Obafemi Awolowo University announced a new vice chancellor today 6th of June,2016 after a protracted disagreement with SSANU and NASU.

As reactions continue to trail emergence of the new OAU VC, the public relations officer of the institution has reacted .
In an exclusive phone chat with Insider News, he said " Professor Salami Is the new VC and that has been confirmed ".
On the threats of NASU to go to court today, he said " let's wait and see, I do not want to preempt anything until they return from court".

NASU is set to appear at Federal high court Osogbo today to contest appointment of Prof Salami as VC.
