With pre-season fixtures becoming more glamorous year by year due to the lucrative nature of playing friendly games across the globe, football fans will be enjoying some huge games this summer before the season even kicks off.
The International Champions Cup in particular is a project that has resulted in continuously more prestigious clashes, and this year it will provide five huge games hosted across four continents.

1. Munich, July 20: Bayern Munich vs. Manchester City
In an incredibly intriguing pre-season clash, Pep Guardiola will attempt to overcome his old side Bayern Munich with his new club Manchester City a matter of weeks after taking charge of his new players.
Bayern will be boosted by their new coach Carlo Ancelotti, as well as signings Renato Sanches and Mats Hummels, in what promises to be an entertaining game in Bayern's home stadium.

2. Beijing, July 25: Manchester City vs. Manchester United

3. Melbourne, July 29: Tottenham vs. Atletico Madrid
The teams who were third in the Premier League and La Liga last season will meet in Australia to see which of the two, both improving more and more under inspirational young coaches, look fresher after the summer break.
Although the amount of internationals on display means that for many this break will be very short, the work rates of both means that the fixture will be marked by intensity not normally associated with pre-season games.

4. New Jersey, August 3: Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich
In another game with added interest due to a coach playing against his former club, Real Madrid's La Decima hero Carlo Ancelotti will line-up against Madrid's latest Champions League-winning coach, Zinedine Zidane.
Interestingly, Zidane played under Ancelotti while the two were at Juventus, and it is expected that there will be a reunion rather warmer than in the Manchester derby.
Toni Kroos, Xabi Alonso, Arjen Robben and potentially Robert Lewandowski will also be playing against their ex-sides.

5. Stockholm, August 3: Leicester vs. Barcelona
The champions of England and Spain will meet on August 3 in a game few could have expected a year ago.
Claudio Ranieri's side have earned the right to play against sides such as Barcelona after an excellent campaign, but might look very different, with Jamie Vardy, N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez all reportedly close to leaving the Foxes.
