Well, as for number 1, its not a mystery. obstruction (of light -partial or full) is needed for a shadow to form. a flame( fire, light) can't obstruct light. 1 Like |

#no 1. Light has a shadow only that you have to check for the right angle to see it. E.g If you enter a room in the night, put off the bulbs. Get a gas cooker lighter. Holding the lighter in your hand, press and put on the lighter at 30 degree angle. The shadow of the light will appear on the FLOOR not on the walls. Watch it closely you'll observe the movement of the light as you try to move your hand. 1 Like |

nedufantasy: Fire could cast a shadow, if the light source behind the fire was brighter than the fire. Fire emits light and thus brightens wherever the shadow would be depicted. |
