My wife is three month pregnant, two weeks ago she saw blood coming out from her body and we went for scan, they told us that it was a treatened miscarriage and they suggested bed rest. She was admitted and was given several injection during the bed rest.
Getting home after the bed rest, she still see drops of blood on her pants every morning, we have done all types of treatment on her both traditionally and medically yet the blood stain in the morning still persist.
I am the one doing everything in the house while she rest but each time she wakes up from sleep and check her pant, the blood stain is there.
please Doctors in the house. what do you advice, I really need help. The last time we went to the hospital, the doctor assured us that it will stop with time but I am no longer comfortable with the continous flow. Please help your advice will be welcome and please no insult

Hmmm.... this one is strong "eleyi gidi gan..." I say this one is strong!! "Mo ni eleyi gidi gan!!!"

Buh don't worry brov. You've done quite a lot to ensure a safe delivery for her, keep seeking for medical help, buh PLEASE, don't relent in your prayers. The devil revels in causing havoc at such times as this. Buh the children of God will always come out victorious and, Secundum gratiam Dei, your wife will deliver safely.

Take her to a very good private hospital, explain everything to them. I wish her quick recovery. Pray constantly for her. It might be the work of the devil.

Are you saying the spotting has not stopped since two weeks ago?You should go back to the hospital so they can examine your wife again to be sure she's okay.
Your wife is having threatened abortion. Some women go on to keep the child till birth but for some it becomes an inevitable miscarriage.
Just go back to the hospital to be sure all is well.Be prayerful too.

Instead of a private hospital, please take your wife to a specialist hospital that is govt owned @ op. You will find more qualified doctors there to handle your wife's issue than in private hospitals...

You and your wife are playing "suwe" and "ten-ten" with two lives, like Uboma suggested, locate the nearest government owned specialist hospital for better diagnosis and solution.

Pls take her to a govt hospital or a private gynacologist that knows his onions on pregnancy. She might be experiencing pregnancy previa. I had such experience, I bled throughout my last trimester, not just drop but serious bleeding that I was hospitalized.
Another thing is serious prayer, pls and pls engage in prayers and also get pastors and reverends to help you in prayers because the trauma alone is out of this world, then though I was the one bleeding but my husby never had a moment of rest because we are always in and out of the hospital, I took 18 pints of blood and 85 drip bags for that 3months.
Though i delivered through C.S but thank God my baby is alive and the healthiest among my kids. She is 5yrs

Trial by error medical practitioners?

Pick up your phone, search for related cases on the Internet. Whatever results you get online will guide you on the best medical care to seek.

Internet has made life very easy; these days, patients teach and guide their doctors from their knowledge on related cases on the net. Please do not be 100% dependent on a fellow human whose expertise is not fully known to you. Kindly go to the Internet, make your own research, before heading to a specialist.

Also endeavour to ask for the type/nature of IVs, drugs, etc, before use. It is very important.

If you are in Lagos please take her to a very good consultant Gynaecologist! Govt hospitals these days are slaughter chamber hence I will not advise even my enemy to near there! I lost a friend in Luth after 5yrs of waiting! A recent story is on bellanaija blog where a guy lost his dad due to carelessness of luth!
I can recommend Southshore Women Hospital in VI Lagos at Mike Adenuga close off Adeola Odekun ask of Dr Alabi! I use him when I cannot travel abroad. He is trained in UK and knows his onions. Please don't look at money and act fast!

Wrong advise!

Whoever heeds the above suggestion does so at his/her own peril.
Not every information you see on the web is actually true.....

Hmmmmm!

What a subtle way to advertise....
Govt owned hospitals are still better off in terms of,

1- Having a pool of experienced doctors including Gynaecologists who can review the op's wife case. Most private hospitals only hire a general doctor to review cases which are sometimes beyond their scope of study.

the list is endless......

If she is not cramping and not passing out blood clots, she should be fine. Some women bleed in pregnancy due to changes in hormones. She should maintain bed rest, continue her prenatal drugs and see her doctor as at when due.

Really? Where do Doctors get their information and journals from?

At Mayo Clinic, over 3300 physicians, scientists and researchers share their expertise to empower you
http://www.mayorclinic.org

^ ^ That's an example of a world class online clinic. Who are they trying to empower?

Meanwhile, no one has recommended self-medication (or self treatment), as a matter of fact Mayo Clinic has never prescribed drugs to anyone.

However, for every symptoms or strange feeling, I make use of the Internet to have an idea of possible diagnosis/treatment before proceeding to a Lab/Clinic for proper check.

Just last week, I had a strange pain in my stomach. Through a search engine, I got an idea of likely diagnosis (Typhoid, Ulcer, and other gastrointestinal issues etc..). It didn't end there, I proceeded to a diagnostic centre, and I personally requested for a Widal Test, and the result showed evidences of Typhoid. Worthy of note is that the pain disappeared at the 2nd day of treatment.

You can never go wrong with research. It is not about displacing the role of a qualified Doctor (a Pharmacist/Pathologist attended to me by the way), it is about empowering oneself with information.

If it is indeed right to condemn online information, why do we have a 'health' section on Nairaland, and why is OP seeking assistance online?

Good to see that you have provided a relavant reference. Now the op can narrow down his research.

I still stand on my earlier claim that not everything on the web is accurate.
