Today, I went out of my comfort zone to search for cheap oil. ...deep down into an interior location, I got at the price of #6800 per 25L. When we bought at #6000 in my locality, we heard that in that interior location, they sold at #5000 - #5500. So today we set on a journey to that place. We were able to get 25 gallons. Tomorrow we target 50 gallons. We met a lot of people who had over 10drums of oil each. They are not willing to sell, they are hoarding the oil and watching the market. ..but we are going to entice them with money. We knew what we went through before we were able to convince someone to sell two drums to us, out of the lots he has.


...with international boarders closed, smuggling and importation still difficult, and we are now going out of Palm oil season, it is obvious that we will buy 25L palm oil for over #10, 000. Get ready

I don’t know how profitable it is for people like me that want to go into it. I made research now,here is in Lagos,5litres 1800-2000 from retailer.

5 * 1800/2000=9000/10000.
Now seeing what is on ground,I don’t think it is profitable to bring palm from outside Lagos.

Retail price of Oil can't be ₦2000 per 5 litres in Lagos. Even here that's quite the price. Make your enquiries and be sure. I heard a rubber of oil is ₦15,000.

He's quite right. Palm oil prices in lagos are very competitive... Bringing in oil from Akwa Ibom to lagos especially for 1st grade, isn't profitable because expenses will not allow you make gain... Not everyone has eyes for good oil and wants to spend a little extra on it, they will tell you that oil is the same thing. So I think people just want to buy nearby... It's risky for me wch is why I still buy from home. Can't gamble idiokh adin
