This is what we keep telling the igbos and the SS people who keep saying the north has no economic importance in nigeria. If they cut off the food supplies and everyone dies of hunger, of what benefit will the oil in Niger Delta Be? Will you drink oil? Remember the Igbos lost the biafra war due to the brilliant starvation policy of Awolowo. ojukwu had to run to ivory coast when it's obvious he has lost the war and his people were dying of hunger. This is why we say no to the evil terrorist Nnamdi kanu and his recent biafra agitations cos no one wants a repeat of what happened in the late 60's. Every region in Nigeria is important economically except the southeast due to their limited resources and erosion ravaged lands. God bless Nigeria, Say no to Biafra. sad

Did you take your time to read op's post? No food in Nigeria, Borders are closed. no more importation, you are shouting Biafra. what has Biafra got to do with the current situation of hunger in this country?

That girl is irredeemably biased against the SS and SE. Unfortunately her juvenile hatred and foolishness is not significant.

Sorry Sultan, are you just realising it now? It is unfortunate your brother Buhari cannot hear you. Try using your Islamic sign on him, who knows, he may understand you. Welcome to the world of change.

lol you are so funny

At least a Bachelor's degree should be one of the prerequisites for being a president in Nigeria.
Imagine the primary school decisions Buhari has been making. How on earth
will anyone in his/her right senses stop the importation of food completely without first
making sure he/she is alreadying growing enough to feed his/her people?
Very senseless decisions. I just feel sorry for Nigerians.

Am not here to make boast. What the SE achieved in abt 50 yrs after fighting war, the Yoruba and Fulani combined cannot achieve in their life time after a major war. Of all the indigenous companies in the SW both large nd medium scales, the SE has the largest proportion relative to other regions, go to CAC if u doubt this. The SE drives the non oil economy, take it or leave. The chances u will not be born into a slumb for every 1000 births is greater in the SE relative to others. SE is the only region developed without federal help and the region boasts of the largest number of millionaires. Ur hatred will never stop the sun from rising. What you think is infinitesimal to our collective resolve. We are the Sons of Heaven, We descend from the Heaven and We have the Mandate of Heaven.

Clap Clap. Well said son of the rising sun smiley

scallywag, your brothers were the first to mention Yoruba on a thread concerning the sultan of sokoto.
first of all must you insult to make a point, secondly if you had started from the beginning you would have found out what warranted his defence of the SE

chest beating as usual. what have you achieved in the south east that southwest hasn't achieved and more.
you said SE was developed without federal help, so what was the three R's of the gowon administration meant for? Infact the project was funded via agriculture related income, in particular cocoa.
tell me one prominent industry own by a Ibo man in the SW.
you are also a pathetic liar, coz dangote a Fulani man contributes the largest indegenious GDP to the nation's economy outside oil and gas.
check Forbes list again, the top five richest men in Nigeria are from the two regions you speak stvpidly about. the richest black man and woman are also from their clan.
dangote the world knows
otedola the world knows
Mike adenuga the world knows
rabiu the owner of BUA group the world knows
folorumsho alakija the world knows
oba otudeko the world knows
even baba ijebu (premier lotto ) the world know.
tell me the miloionaires you so much boast of from your erosive region.
you claim not to have federal developments but weep daily for a second Niger bridge.
your families from the village throw up a party at the chance of their child coming to the southwest.
we deported you guys back to your erosive land, but you came back begging claiming one Nigeria.
Forbes recently conducted a survey on new Africa millionaires and four out of ten in the whole of Africa had to come from sw.
the global world doesn't take you guys serious, coz you are only good in the production of sub standard products and repackaging of expired goods, this is also coupled with your daily trial across The globe over drug trafficking related issues.
even your own state government can't patronise that cheap moving metal you call innoson whatever.
stop being silly, you can chest beat for the fulanis, but don't in anyway come close to the Yorubas. we miles apart.
Even before Dangote dreamt of being the richest Ojukwu's father had achieved that. Like I said before, what the SE achieved after 50 yrs of war, the SW will Neva achieve should they come out from the same type of war. The largest proportion of indigenous non oil based firms in SW are owned by SE relative to other regions. The fact is verifiable.
I don't remember mentioning individual contributor to the GDP. The SE owes 67% of lands in Abuja and the region with largest property outside her region. We aint mate, and u know that.

Reports today show that northern children are suffering from stunted growth.
I'm actually disappointed in the sultan's comments.
Why didn't he charge the faithful to go into farming as a matter of national emergency? Or berate the govt for allowing the tomato infestation to spread the way it did? How about calling a conference of all past northern heads of state to start a massive investment into agric and electricity?
Govt is shouting, no dollar, but he wants more imports?!
Consider how much food could have been harvested and saved if the northern elite were bothered to take action!
