One of the Nigeria Premier League Team Bus was involved in an accident on there way to Makurdi at about 4pm today. According to Ayoola, the accident happened at about 4pm along AMA Brewery Road 9th mile Enugu. The Oga Boys as the Ikorodu United team are fondly referred to were said to be travelling in a Chisco bus but were lucky as the players and staff travelling sustained only minor injuries. I actually witnessed the accident live. 20 persons lost their lives. The Ikorodu United Chisco Bus narrowly skipped the Ama Brewery trailer that failed break. The trailer then rammed into an incoming bus that carries 18 passenger and killed everybody. It was a gory sight. |
