@mama gee, who told u dat rock music is nt a quality music? I even regard rock music as d genre of d mature because its nt d type 4 kids on d street or inexperience so called music lovers.
When u said dat u love music and u excluded ROCK, i wl say ur only starting. Bt u may start to love it wt sometin frm Avril lavinge,kelly clarkson,the corrs. Try them and u wl start to lik rock cos d are nt hard rock or too metalic in sound.

I love rock . . . though most of what we get these days is just pop music.

The main reason I can think of for the way rock hasn't gone far in the Nigerian music market is the fact that it's championed by white people, unlike hiphop, R'n'B and soul.

Yeah Eldee put it well. . . . . . . . . . . The only rock songs I have come across in Nigeria are the songs by Rooftop MCs. Nice one too.

The rock culture is not one most Nigerians can relate to.

Rooftop MCs are really good . . . but they seriously need to get a stylist and stop making their own videos.
I've seen two of their videos on HiTV, there's no way they'll get Nigerians that way.

There's this guy that does gospel rock . . . he's a regular feature on Sundays.
Can't remember his name now, but his song is called Imarama . . . the song's really good.

There's one funny guy I saw on Nairaland too . . . Nepa Bring the Light . . . I'm not sure if that's the name, but it had hit potential.

It's impossible to get them now . . . there might still be some for the Manchester show.

AC/DC's really good, that's prolly the only metal band I can listen to.

Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Nickleback, Linkin Park, Scouting For Girls are pop bands.

a whole lot are into the soft rock genre,
a lot more into alternative but will still say rock oh well
