SOS from kogi civil servants. Our salaries have been witheld by bello. We have been forced to open accounts in zenith and access. We don't have access to the accounts. No atm no cheque book. We are been harassed and being detained by DSS and kept in underground cells to force us to confess to matters we know nothing about. you workers are not shouting enough cos Nigerians are not aware of what is going on in Kogi state...the issue of him opening account in zenith for workers in kogi is very suspicious...since when does govt go to the bank to open acct for its workers without the worker's knowledge biko?...I say a lot of fraud is going on there but like I said kogi people are not yet fed up...cos if u Peepz are fed up u Peepz will cry out to the world. A lot is happening in kogi that doesn't get to the naija public domain. U people should go to Channels, Ait, Stv and online media to cry out so the world can hear!

i was shocked to get 4 month salary too.

If u didn't get alert, then u not up to 2 years in active service.. Those who are employed based mostly on tribalism... Cos that's was wen tribalism was at its peak on kogi state..

Even the Kogi state University Assu chapter is requesting for the remaining one month salary b4 it's members resume wc I don't see feasible for now.,though they received 4 months last week...

We are living in an atmosphere of fear. He is locking people up with terrorists in the sss underground cell for flimsy reasons. People dare not criticise him or his Red berets will come and attack you at night. Only God's intervention can help us now. I miss wada got because no matter what we say, the man's government had a human face. He was even borrowing to pay salaries. The emphasis on salaries slowed down his projects but he prefer to pay salary first. I used to follow people to curse wada, now I know better. During wada there was peace, now kidnapping, unlawful arrest, thuggery have taken over. Imagine bello screened out the nlc chairman because he opposed him. He used staff names to access bailout and after the money came he sacked more than half saying they are ghost workers. As for the bank account issue, he has boasted that he will make sure some banks close their branch in lokoja because they refuse to give him loan. Zenith and access are the only people that gave him loan which are illegal because he does not have a legal assembly or exco. If he could drive the assembly members away using soldiers. What can a common civil servant do? Only God can save us because I hear aisha buhari is his chief supporter.

Faleke was never in the primaries, even though the electoral act is responsible for bringing the current cow, the constitution was not obeyed + he doesn't hold a pvc of any area, ward or LGA in kogi state,thus, did not even vote in his own election, after losing the primaries he went dark on the party, was never part of the general election, he was cooling off somewhere carrying out anti party activity with about hundred million bribe from the then incumbent. his replacement form for the supplementary election was incomplete as the deputy space was left blank. Aisha buhari, oyegun may have helped him in the tribunal but subsequent appeals will surely not favour him.even the state APC have denied him twice, he's turned the state upside down. you need to see him talk, empty carton! checkout his appointees, bunch of young thugs with no idea what management or governance is about. so pathetic.

That's what you get when you have a shallow human being at the helm of affairs. Who celebrates a lavish 41st Birthday Party amidst cries of unpaid salaries and economic hardship. Last week four members of Wada's household including one of his Sons were arrested by Mopols suspected to have come from Government House Kogi. And their crime? They were very close to Wada, therefore, they should have knowledge of how he went about looting Kogi State's funds. It took the intervention of the a Force DIG to get them released, as it was very clear that they were acting outside of the directives of their chain of command It's the same story with Wada's commissioners who were locked in cells in Lokoja for approximately 1 week until Wada himself intervened, only then were they allowed to return back home to their Families for the Easter holidays. Any fair minded person who knows Wada would without a doubt vouch for his transparency and integrity, so the talk of looting is certainly a non-starter. If Bello had anything tangible against Wada, it would have been public knowledge by now, so the result to intimidation is simply an act of desperation from a drowning man.

Wada governed Kogi for 4 years without threatening the existence of any soul over his ambition; Bello has been there for barely 6 months and the story of Government induced intimidation and harassment appears to be commonplace. As an active participant in Kogi politics, what I know about power is that you maximize the opportunity to make as much friends as possible, just so that when you are no longer on the throne you would have to rely on this goodwill to keep you afloat. This is Wada's saving grace today, and that's in addition to the fact that he conducted himself honorably while saddled with the affairs of the State.

Am from kogi yet am not aware of what is going on there cos people there just take whatever they see. A governor that has collected bailout fund yet won't pay civil servants their salaries and his throwing a birthday party bringing Korede Bello....this is hilarious and annoying at the same time
