So why is a referendum on the U.K. national identity taking place during a major European soccer tournament? 1 Like |

fiizznation:What has your current president done with the confab , which was more or less a form of referendum that was put together by respected ethnic leaders in Nigeria? He sent it to the dustbin. A country where citizens were shot at for protesting for their right to independence is the same country you expect to follow the path of legislative lobbying like the united kingdom.? I wonder the kind of education the south west dishes it out to its people. You are either an unscrupulous human being or not very rational. 12 Likes 1 Share |

it is Nigerians fault and the rest of the nations that refused to implement good governance they have put pressure on civilized nations via immigration ..Britain is now tired of Africans coming via Europe to Britain ..that's the truth ...why can't other countries be developed like UK |

The reason why I'm always against this call for Biafra is just coz they were silent all through GEJ's tenure only to surface when power left the southern region..[/quote] My thoughts exactly. The epitome of hypocrisy. 1 Like |

princey83:Good analysis The agitation to leave the EU further worsened due to the migrant crisis of Syria and other Arabs flooding to the UK,Germany and other countries. This is the beginning of the downfall of the EU.. other nations are also considering leaving .. e.g. Italy, France and the Netherlands. This I feel, is a good decision made by Britons. But it's consequences are there but will be overcomed in a short term 3 Likes |

Candyrain:All you people equating the EU to the Nigerian situation should do a little research and understand the difference. Nigeria is a federation, the EU is not. At best, the EU is a confederal system. A distinctive feature of federalism is d repudiation of secession. Do u see Texas having a referendum to secede from the US? 8 Likes 2 Shares |

fiizznation: I support a united Nigeria but saying biafra agitators are calling for war is false. Have they taken up arms against the state? Despite being shot at peaceful demonstrations. It is the duty of the leader to call for referendum in this kind of situation. If UK PM didn't call for referendum and instead sent soldiers to Edinburgh to intimidate Scottish agitators don't you think Scotland might have taken it to another dangerous confrontation? maybe there would have been unrest in the UK today. Today, the UK issues have been resolved peaceful without soldiers involved. Until we can resolve our issues like the UK amicably, we will all suffer both agitators and other sections of the country because there will only be genuine development when there is unity. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Kenai:yeah and the biggest hypocrites are actually the Igbos. The scream the loudest about wanting out but no group in the country migrates to live in other parts of Nigeria like Igbos do. If you really want out, start by moving back to your lands, no one is stopping you. You don't see Britons migrating to other parts of Europe in large droves. 4 Likes 1 Share |

But they are allowed to vote all the same. They are cerebral enough to express their mind without intimidation. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

We did it, even in the midst of strong opposition here in Scotland. Dodgy David has resigned too. Haha. EU wanted to water down UK way of life, economy and culture. I think Boris Johnson is a gumless Arrow and UKIP is a racist gathering, but EU was killing UK! |
Re: UK Votes To Leave The European Union by cstr9: 9:46am On Jun 24, 2016 |
KevinDein:The UK benefits a lot from the EU. Didn't stop their citizens from voting out because they believe they can get a much better deal. You can kick out igbos from your lands if you have to, just like the EU can restrict british access to the EU market. It dosen't change the fact that referendum has to be done in Nigeria. |
