Emmanuel FC on Wednesday June 22, 2016 defeated the under 20 side of one of Ghana’s most respected club, Accra Hearts of Oak by 2 goals to 1.

Hearts of Oat’s U20 side scored the opener in the 31st minute despite an impressive performance by their opponent.

Emmanuel FC’s central defender, Puis Baffour Awuah got his side back into the game through a powerful header in the 71st minute. The “Phobia” boys were left disappointed when Emmanuel FC striker Mohammed Zulkiplu scored the winning goal through another powerful header in the 82nd minute.

Coach of Emmanuel FC, Mr. George Essien said he is happy with his side’s performance but indicated that the team will still put in more work to ensure that they top their group.

Mr. John Odupong Wellington, chairman of Emmanuel FC, after the game stated that, the friendly match with Hearts U20 was part of their preparation towards the upcoming 2nd Division league which is scheduled to start on 2nd July, 2016
