Na fake plenty for market now. I've been using newage powerbank now going to 4 years, two months after I got the same type for my dad and its still performing though it doesn't last like it used to but still serves me. Bought it 2013 at ladipo.
I got 2 other brands after it to compliment but all don spoil na only that newage remain.
You know in Nigeria, every brands with good ratings would be reproduced in Aba because of the selling rate.
I got 15,500mah New Age power bank around November last year for N10,000 at slot. The item is genuine, a monster.

I don't think that they are genuine because things are expensive now with the depreciated value of naira. 22500 mah should be around 15k while 12500 mah should be around 8k.

Hi everyone, a week ago, I noticed my phone battery capacity is not enough so I decided to buy a power bank. I actually wanted to buy a tecno power bank (since I've seen many people using it and it's reliable) I however couldn't get it at the shop close by so I decided to try the new age power bank since the seller said a lot about it and people there confirmed it, so I bought it N2500 4000mah.

I got home feeling happy that I've got a power bank so I can do a lot of things without fear of my battery running down (un)fortunately there was light all through that day so I didn't use it. The next day I was in class all through since exams are close I didn't use it also.

Finally on the third day I used it and it couldn't charge my phone up to 30% I was kinda disappointed but maybe it's not well charged I thought. I charged it when there was light and it even did worse after charging. It charged ten seconds and went off. I felt disturbed so I returned it the person said he couldn't take it cos he has already sold it. He said he doesn't take back things he has already sold and almost embarrassed me there.

I feel bad about it till now I just wasted money. Nairalanders pls is there anyway I can reach the company and lay my complains or has anybody experienced same?

Re: My Experience Using New Age Power Bank by OOG(m): 10:48pm On Aug 18, 2018
Sorry to hear about all the bad experiences so far.
It's not normal to buy products without warranty; it's sad that we as Nigerians take undue advantage of ourselves without regard to the risk of the buyers losing their hard earned money.

The good news is that Anker now officially has presence in Nigeria and that guarantees you 18 months no-story warranty on every, Anker product buy purchase from authorised dealers.
Anker is the world leading manufacturer of Powerbanks, chargers, charging cables and a whole lot of other mobile accessories.

The 18 months warranty is no joke because Anker is serious about quality.

Nigerians deserve good quality and value for their hard earned money.

Give Anker a shot; you will never regret it.

You purchased the power bank but never charged it to 100% before using it.

By so doing, you killed it.

Maybe the seller didn't tell you.
