Trust is earned and not mere gift, NPF should work to earn the trust.

I trust Nigeria Police. I trust them to collect bail, when they say it is free. I trust them to obtain roger at roadblocks. I trust them to collect "settlement" from arrested armed robbers and set them free. I trust them to ask for fuel money in order to go after criminals like hours after they have departed the crime scene

Time to consider State Police is now, I dont know why the North is skeptical about it when they operate 'Hisbah' which performs same function as federal Police

Nigerian police are criminals, they haven't been seen catching up with any real thief, because they are one! convicting innocent citizens, telling them to write 'i put it to u that i am a witness' next is bail condition, i no follow 5k. every byke and bus 200naira, checking for car particulars without knowing what is written there, only looking for Dec 2015 as expiry date for money. Hate them with passion. If i had one as a brother, would've deal with him ruthlessly cos i can't harbour a criminal, rogue, tout, senseless fellow as a brother.

The same police who arrested the manager of a petrol station because cult boys clashed in front of the station leading to the death of a cultist. The manager went to report the matter and HE WAS DETAINED. He was only released after paying 20 thousand Naira bail money.

The same police who demanded for money to carry the corpse of a Minister of this country involved in the tragic road accident with members of his family.

The same police who demand for money for paper to make a statement/file a report in the police station.

The same police who patrol at night and chase after commercial sex workers in GRA Port Harcourt, not to arrest them, but to take them to their stations, rape them all night (even without protection) and set them free in the morning. So much so that the girls run away from the police, not for fear of arrest, but for fear of being gang raped without protection.

But how can the people not lose trust in the police and how can the Nigeria Police be your friend when if you have a Policeman as your friend whenever he visits your house he will ask you 'wetin you keep for me' and when you visit his house he will ask you 'wetin you bring for me'?
