A House of Assembly member in Oyo state has been assassinated, The Cable is reporting. According to the report, the lawmaker representing Orelope constituency in the state house of assembly, Gideon Aremu was murdered last night by unknown gunmen. A source who confirmed the authenticity of the report said the gunmen trailed the lawmaker to his residence in Egbeda local government are of the state before pumping several bullets into his body. Confirming the story, spokesman of the Oyo police command, Adekunle Ajisebutu said investigation into the assassination has already begun. |
