My car's engine overheated some months ago and started giving me some issues. According to my mechanic after he diagnosed the problem, he discovered that the crank shaft, connecting rod and metal main bearing have gone bad. He advised I changed them. I did. Unfortunately, he still couldn't repair the damage as he later informed me that the engine is weak and needs replacement. Mechanic says engine's cost is N550,000. N550k in this present economy fa!    Car's model is UB Rio 1.4L Please nairalanders, I have a feeling this so called mechanic wants to fleece me of my hard earned money. Does anyone know the actual cost of a Kia Rio engine? I would really appreciate a feedback from the house please. Thank you. @ Marpol, please help put this on front page. I need more inputs. Thanks. |

Used engine is 200k new is 600k if you have contact in Dubai...its far cheaper! |
