We need metro train in Enugu city connecting to onitsha for effective business and economy benefits of the east .enugu state government and anambra should do the needful .what do you think ?

Beautiful suggestion,it would have been better if the idea covers the whole if east,but that will be a huge project..Enugu onitsha is a good start.

Yes the enugu-onitcha-owerri-Aba-Abakiliki. Then each state will link it to various major towns they have. It's workable but it needs proper planing.

It wud be a wonderful idea! It wud improve urban growth and development.
This is the highest level of creativity I wud see from the eastern side in over 4 decades

A very good idea, but I think the governments of Enugu and Anambra can start by fixing or just patching the horribly bad spots along the onitsha-enugu road, I wonder why no one has thought of this. Also the governments of Akwa-ibom and Abia can fix the terrible spot (its just one spot) on the Aba to Ikot ekpene road. From history, the FG has always found a way to refund states whrn they carry out these kind of jobs.

We will get everything in Biafra but our governors are not helping matters at all .we need this train to curb some economy crisis ahead

Cunny man die cunny man bury him...So eastern people should build the rail system, while the federal government will build for other regions.

We don't care about projects, but the central government should be fair to all or simple implement regional governance. These are the kinds of things that cause the clamour fro Biafra...

This is how it will work .enugu Will build sub way (metro train ) inside the city then stop in awka , anambra from awka to onitsha. Enugu to aba train upgrade to cargo train .This doesn't need much planing .government should swimming into action and this will double there igr, other states will join later and extend it to asaba , calabar ,Ph, owerri and other neighbouring state s

What is the capital expenditure and if 40% is put into this project how long will it take to finish (probably 200 years)

Abuja metro rail too....

Anambra/enugu State governments should now use their small money to start a project that the FG might wake up one day and fustrate.....who knows if d FG will wake up one day and build rail from sokoto to bornu

I'll prefer they use some money to smoothen the onitsha-enugu federal express bypass and use the rest of the money to build more rural roads for their states....

do you know what it took anambra govt to get permission to reconstruct their own section of enugu-onitsha express. this is why we want restructuring, the federal government control these things and will never allow such. if such is allowed, be sure to see numerous rail line linking all eastern towns own by individual businessmen and not the government. They, already call the shots in road transport which is not an FG monopolized area and will replicate such in rail if not for FG. also, since the concept of mall started in nigeria SE have their fair share. Just remove anything from FG direct control and SE will never carry last in such. Remember how FG politics frustrated Geometric power Aba. Just imagine there is nothing like national grid, more of such will litter everywhere in the East.
