The Igbos of Abia State are Neighbours to the Efiks/Ibibios.(even in Ancient times)
The Arochukwu confederacy saw a patnership between Igbos and Ibibios.
So We Are NEIGHBOURS.
There are quite some intertribal marriages and intertrade between both.. THATS IT..

Yes, they relate historically.

1. They have been neighbors for centuries.
2. Some villages have intertwined histories that go back 500+ years.
3. Cultural dissemination occurred in both directions. As an example, the Ala cult exists in Ibibio culture and a derivation of the leopard society exists in Igbo culture.
