The only son of the President of Nigeria, Yusuf Buhari, and one of his nine daughters, Hadiza Buhari, have successfully graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford, England, United Kingdom. The University of Surrey specializes in science, engineering, medicine and business. It is a major centre for satellite and mobile communications research.

The university is recognized as one of the leading universities in the United Kingdom and has climbed rapidly in national league tables as of recent years.
