SHORT STORY COMPETITION: Submit your stories and get paid!

Would you like your writing skills, talents and works to be promoted to the whole world?

Do you have unpublished stories that you will like to promote or be paid for?


HOW IT WORKS
Submit a short story of between 4000 and 4500 words

Story can be in any genre but must be very interesting and captivating.

Shortlisted stories will be posted on our website at www.nigerianwriter.com

If shortlisted, you will be sent a link to your story for you to share to friends and family on your social networks and other places. In addition, try to get as many people to visit, read and comment on your story. Each share, like, comment etc counts as a vote.

Stories which can garner the highest votes will move on to the next stage. A panel of readers and judges will also select other deserving entries even if they dont have enough votes to qualify.

After the shortlist, a final winner will be selected.

The writer of the winning story will be paid N5,000 and their story published as a mini novel under our titles.

Other deserving stories may also be selected for publishing under our titles in the future. For every published story, the writer will be paid N2,000.


HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STORY
Send your story in an MS Word file to story65@nigerianwriter.com

The first page of the MSWord File should contain the following:
Your full name:
Your pen or writing name (if different from your real name)
Your Age
Your Gender
Your State of Residence
Your phone number
Your email address
Your website link (if available)
Any other means of contact (e.g Twitter, BBM, Whatsapp etc)


NOTE: Only your pen name will be included in the story published on our website. All other information will not be made public but held confidential beteen you and us.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Stories must be original works of the author
Stories must not have been previously published online or offline.
You can enter as many stories as you can write.
Stories published under our titles will be credited to you as the author but copyrights including distribution and marketing rights will be released to us. This means that by entering this competition, you agree to release the copyrights, distribution and marketing rights to us. We are under no bligation to pay you royalties or commissions for any stories published under our titles.

DEADLINE: The earlier you submit your story, the greater chance you have.
