It had been argued times without numbers amongst Nigerians across the nation that the founding fathers of this great country of ours are the failures, that they lack the technicalities to foresaw the Nigeria of today.

It had also, been said that these present politicians are the failures as result of their inability to handle things correctly and that they are also dooming this country simply because they just don't care.

So, Nairalanders, what is your take?

Both because right from jump they didn't see one Nigeria

Awo was good for yorubas only
Zik was good for igbos only, same with ironsi-
Balewa was good for the north only

The current politicians realised this and are now using it for their own Interest. Elites are from every region.
When something isn't favoring them, they use tribalism to rally support.

I think our founding fathers did the best they could under those circumstances. I can't blame them 4d problems we're facing today. Our politicians are illiterates with a lot of money. They lack the common sense to use that excess of money to help the country become great. We the youth are completely useless because all we're interested in is making money the fastest way we can. If you ask me WE ARE THE FAILURES! We are the ones letting our own country down. It is d youth that spend all their time planning robbery and kidnapping instead of being productive. We've decided to follow in the footsteps of the illiterates ruling us,
Our founding fathers have tried. Its our turn to fix nigeria. Its obvious the fools in power won't do it. The youth are d future, we should start acting like it.

IMO, the politicians today are no different than the ones from the past (maybe except the freedom fighters zik,awolowo n those. i think) the ones today are the pasts' puppets anyways placed there by the old ones. all they care for is power and wealth for themselves.
what we should do is to clean up the govt and put some serious, fresh young men and women there that are foreign educated in the system of the british or US. not some old alhaji or chief that is cousin to IBB or appointed/bribed into office by sheu shagari lol
and we need a more effective checks and balance system to deter corruption and have a more organized govt.

both of them are failures.

present day politicians are the followers of the founding fathers.

most of the present politicians were recruited politically by the founding fathers.

in otherwords like father like son.

THE STATE IS A FAILURE SINCE 40 YEARS AGO.

CAUSE= FOUNDIN FATHERS AND PRESENT POLITICIANS
