I've heard of Emure. Is dat where we hv d Ogbese river?? Not sure undecided

Btw, why are they eternal enemies??

Really can't remember the story but I know they are always at loggerheads albeit neighbours.
I'll ask my Emure brother what went wrong and I'll present you with the abridged and unbiased version.

Shollypopz:

Ehya, if u once knew how to speak d language, I'm sure d moment she starts speaking it to u, u'll regain ur lost knowledge.

Do you know ur oriki, like does she sing u ur Dad's oriki??

I left Ekiti for Lagos, close to the age of 3, where I was "forced" to speak English in my school. It inhibited my Ekiti Language skills.

The thing about language is that Understanding and Speaking are two different aspects.

In Ara oh.

Where are the Igbara-Odo peeps?

Am curious about the town and also more specifically the history behind the split with Igbara-Oke and of course the Oke-Ode/Odo-Igbara dichotomy within the town.

any developments in the town in recent times? any cool places?

Is there any good reason for an indigene to move back to that town?

Also interested in other towns too including Ilawe, ikogosi, ikere (that tiny town. hope they have stopped using buses that look like mobile bread loaves).

Examples of ancient Ekiti words and translations in both standard Yoruba and English : Ideregbe (Ewure or Goat), Okeregba (Aja or Dog), Amomo (Alangba or Lizard), Usa (Ikoko or Pot), Ukere (Ago or Calabash Cup), Ogolomosi (Ibepe or Pawpaw), Oyeye (Epa or Groundnut).

O kun Awe
River Ogbese is in Uso Village on the road to Owo town in Ondo State while Emure Ekiti is a town famed for producing the legendary Elemure Ogunyemi, the Ekiti traditional musician.
Enemity? Are you refering to Rivers Osun&Oba?

You're crazy to put the Elekole of Ikole on 15th position of grade A kings in Ekiti instead of first position. Please do your history class well. So just because Ado is the capital means it's on number one. Ikole is well bigger than your Ado, and the Elekole is by far ranked ahead of ewi... Controlling 23 towns in Ekiti is not a small thing. Please respect the Egbe Oba Kingdom. Thanks...
