A lot of people search the internet for info on how to earn a living by working from home. Recently i heard a conversation between some folks about the possibility of earning a living writing articles online, some were of the opinion that it really does not bring in enough money to serve as a second source of income talk less being a main source. A few of them said it could serve as a main source of income if done correctly.

Is it really possible to earn a living writing articles online? Do you know anyone doing this successfully? I know you can have a website and add adsense as a revenue source but I've not seen many people doing well using adsense.

Team memeber? I don't really understand what you mean by that. However, I 'work' on Fiverr offering services like email writing, resume writing etc.

I can confirm to you that it is. It is highly possible if you can write very well like a native English speaker and know what format or writing style online readers love. Native speakers can earn $50 upwards per 500-word article. But people from countries other than the UK, US and Australia usually get discriminated against with earnings as low as $1 per 500 words. I have seen online some top-notch, possibly high-earning writers from Nigeria, though.

The first batch of articles I sold on sitepoint.com, I made $25 for 6 articles. That was a long time ago. People make lots of money writing online. But they usually do the research and due diligence. They don't open threads on nairaland and ask people to teach them. No offense, but if you can't go to google and research ways to write online and make money yourself, I doubt you'd do well as a writer.

Thanks for responding guys, I've been doing a little digging since my last post and findings show that it is possible to earn a living writing articles online. The thing is one needs to do a little bit of research and some learning to get it right. I'll try to share my findings when I'm done.

Hello Guys, I have been doing some under "G" research and I'm finally convinced that it is possible to earn a living writing articles online. There are lots of websites that one can join to get writing jobs and get paid for offering such service. There are also different ways to earn with one's writing skills online, the good thing is I actually found Nigerians who do this for a living and are doing fine.

A good way to earn a living writing articles online is to get freelance writing jobs, there are many of such freelance marketplaces or job sites online the challenge is that there are several thousands of people onlie hoping to do just the same thing.

If you would like to join any of these sites you should be ready to work on your profile because if you don't have an author profile or pricing that is attractive enough to those who need your service then they (your would be clients) would surely and very easily find dozens of other writers that would offer them what they want even though they don't pay much. One challenge you are sure to encounter is that many of these sites accept only native English writers.

Let me make one thing clear at this point you can earn a living writing articles online if you do any of the following:
Work as a freelance blogger
Work as a guest blogger
Work as a content marketer
