This piece is not meant to glorify or sing Tinunbu praises, but just a quick reminder about some facts that people calling for his head have ignored over the years, or they are aware of it but just decided to close their eyes about it.
1. Tinunbu never aspired for any political position since he left power in 2007. Of course it is now normal for any outgoing governor to go the senate after completing their respective terms; ask Theodore orji, Jonah Jang, George Akume, akpabio etc.
2. He has always been in opposition not until 2015 that his party won. It takes a principled man to remain in opposition since 1991. Nowadays our politicians are ready to jump to any party just for the sake of relevance, ask peter obi, atiku, oyinlola, jim nwobodo, akala etc.
3. He always surround himself with seasoned and competent people. Of course chaps like mamora, akabueze, femi gbaja, osinbajo, fayemi, fashola etc are not new to us.
4. He never forgot the people that has been with him from the onset - few days ago I google out "babfemi ojudu" and I discovered he has been with tinunbu since the days of june 12 struggle, same with fayemi, alake, mamora, ganiu solomon etc.
5. He's not overambitious - if what tinunbu claimed about jonathan's offer is true, tinunbu would have accepted to become jonathan's running mate.
6. Through his political acumen and sagacity, He has developed quite a number of powerful and influential peolple that still remain loyal to him till date.
7. Lastly, tinunbu has been accused of so many things but he has never been accused of being tribal or religious intolerant, sincerely I've never hear tinunbu speak anything that could spark or create ethnic tension despite him being pushed to the wall several times. We all know nigeria's problem is about tribe and religion but tinunbu understands both and knows how to imbibe it politically. I'll drop my pen here. THANKS.

The sudden hatred for Tinubu is staunchly deep rooted in jealousy. See, when you don't have something some times, you may be forced to hate those who have for no reason. The same Tinubu that is loathed today is the man they once hailed for supporting GEJ in 2011.

This is a challenge to Tinubu's detractors particularly from the SS&SE, please name any politician who is as politically savvy as Tinubu right now from your regions.

Tinubu is not saint but his ability to scout worthy successors like Fasola, Ambode, and technocrats like Ben Akabueze, Tunde Fowler, Muiz Banire who worked hard in developing the Lagos you're all trooping into today is commendable.

You should be pained a broke taxi cab driver from Chicago come to Nigeria ran for elections till he entered the Lagos Governor positio. Then used that office to corner the taxes, property, land and roads (toll road anyone?) to make himself a billionaire....

...which you now praise him for ruling selfishly and wickedly. You praise him for taking money meant for your future, for your kids future and for the development of your lands.... as his own personal estate. Then he pays you pennies and kobos to hold signs and march for him.

Lol the ignorance of Nigerians is funny!

Spot on bro. Majority of his haters are from SE in particular. Remember when he was sick and flown abroad, they all wished him dead not until he responded that he's still very much alive. Its as bad as that bro.

So is that why you are now screaming like a wounded lion ? If you have any criminal case against him go straight to the court and stop ranting online, at least PDP was in power for 16 years why didn't they prosecute him ? O go baje
