The Edo State Government has joined the league of few other states who are incorporating Information and Communication Technology into government administration. It is currently capturing data of all workers in the state civil service. This will give the government, a comprehensive detail of its staff strength, qualifications, promotion scale and will eliminate the incidence of ghost workers. How will this eliminate ghost workers? Isn't it gonna be in a database, where someone will enter the data? Na Nija we dey talk now, so make we leave story, if you say will reduce it, then, i will agree, but cant eliminate it. But it is a step in the right direction. |
