Lets Learn About The Life Of Abu Bakr As-siddiq(r.a) - Briefly. by Nobody: 1:05pm On Jul 21, 2016
His real name is not Abu bakr As-sidiq(r.a), his original name is Abdullahi bin Uthman(r.a), the titles that were given to him were numerous, but the most famous one was As-siddiq, which was derived from As-sadaq – truth, The prophet of Allah peace be upon him and Abu bakr had a special relationship, they were very close together, even before Islam, and they were close in age, Abu bakr as-siddiq(r.a) was only two years younger than Muhammad(pbuh), while the other companions were very young, and Ali bin Abu Talib was a child, Umar bin khattab that was considered to be among the seniors of the sahabas was only 28 years old when he accepted islam, however Abu bakr was 38years old when he became a muslim, Abu bakr(r.a) was so close to Muhammad(pbuh) as if he was created for him, Abu bakr was not only a friend, he was a companion, an adviser, a financial supporter, a body guard, a confidant, he was everything for Muhammad(pbuh), I want to give you a physical description of Abu bakr, Abu bakr(r.a) was medium to short in height, and he was very slim, slender, infact extremely very slim, even his face you can see the bones on his cheek, his eyes were deep in the sockets, and he was very fair, he was a very social person, he was very approachable and likeable, people would love sit with him, talk with him, cuz of his very compassionate nature, very kind.
He was a season traveler, he has met a lot of people, knows the leaders of many tribes, in simple terms, he was very influential, infact people were more familiar with the face of Abu bakr than they were with the face Muhammad(pbuh), Abu bakr (r.a) was a specialist in geneology, he knew the names of the tribes, their origins, where they were from, their ancestors, he was an expert in that field, Abu bakr(r.a) aspirations was to please Allah, he was not for duniya, he was good, everything about him was good, but he had a hot temper, but he would come back very fast and apologise, and his compassionate and kind nature made it acceptable to people, his personality is amazing, his name was always on top when the list of good deeds is being mentioned, always the first in all, he was the first muslim, he was the first khalifa, he was the first and only person to be with Muhammad(pbuh) on the hijra, he was the first in iman(faith), the prophet said his iman is greater than that of all of the ummah, Muhammad was once sitting in the Masjid and he asked the sahabas, who is fasting this day, abu bakr said I am, who has visited the ill person, abu bakr said I did, who has followed the janaaza, abu bakr said I did, who on this day has given out sadaqa, abu bakr said I did, wow, this is amazing.

Abu bakr was unique, he accepted islam without any hesitation, once, Muhammad said give for the battle of tabuk, Umar(r.a) said to himself that this is an opportunity for me to beat abu bakr in a good deed, because abu bakr was always on top, he rushed home, he told his wife, we have to give everything we’ve got, so they gathered everything they had and splited it in half, then he rushed back to Muhammad(pbuh) and told him that he(Umar) is giving half of everything he had, then Muhammad asked Abu bakr that what have you left behind? He said I have left Allah and his messenger in my house, then Umar(r.a) said, “I then realized that no one can beat abu bakr(r.a)”, abu bakr loved Muhammad so much, when they went to the cave, he asked Muhammad to allow him to go into the cave to clean it up, this is what Umar bin Khattab said, he said he will give his actions of his days and nights for the one day and night of abu bakr As-siddiq, what day was that? The day he was in the cave with the prophet of Allah, Abu bakr tore his garment into pieces to block the holes inside the cave, to prevent the emergence of a snake or a scorpion, but his garment runs out and there is still one hole left for him to cover, then he asked the prophet to come in, and the prophet wanted to rest, then Abu bakr said oh messenger of Allah, place your head on my thighs, then with the other foot, he closed up that hole, while in that state, there was a snake in that hole, it bit the foot of Abu bakr, but Abu bakr didn’t want to wake the messenger up, so he tried to endure the pain, but ofcourse he couldn’t, so his tears rolled down his cheeks and fell on the cheeks on Muhammad(pbuh), this woke up the prophet, what kind of love is this? Amazing, really amazing! When the prophet got up seeing him in this pains, he asked him, why didn’t you wake me up, he said “I didn’t want to discomfort you, oh messenger Allah” but why? He loved Muhammad dearly.

.....continuation

During the death of the prophet, it was a catastrophe for the Muslims of that time, they weren’t able to handle it, now even though Abu bakr was the closest to Muhammad, he was the one that brought them back. Before the death of the prophet, he appointed osama bin zaid to lead an army and he ordered this army to fight the Romans, the army was 2000 soldier, and they were facing an army of 400,000 soldiers, some narrations said 200,000, and he gave them the following instructions “I want you to lead this army and to step with your horses over the land where your father was killed” but Muhammad passed away before the army left for the war, now abu bakr became khalifa, the sahabas told Abu bakr to keep this army back so they can protect the lives of the muslims because this was the most pressing issue, then Abu bakr said “do you want me to reverse the order of Muhammad(pbuh)? This was his order and even if everyone in medina is killed and I’m the only one left, I will still send this army out as instructed”, when Muhammad died, many of the muslims, could not get up from their sitting places, some could not talk, some even refused that he did not die, that he was gonna come back, Ali went into hiding in the house of Fatima and uthman couldn’t speak and Umar went as far as claiming that Muhammad(puh) did not die, that he went to meet Allah for 40 days just like moses did and he is going to come back, and he will cut the feet and the arms of some people who claimed that he died, Abu bakr went to the death bed of Muhammad, and he kissed him on the forehead, and said you are pure, when you were alive you were pure in your death you are pure, then he went to the masjid, at that time Umar was busy making his unrealistic claims, when the people saw Abu bakr, they left Umar and went to listen to what abu bakr had to say, Abu bakr(r.a) said, “if you were worshipping Muhammad then Muhammad is dead, but if you are worshipping Allah, then Allah is alive and he never dies” Then he recited the verse of the Quran 144 of suratul al-imran,

“Muhammad is not but a messenger, other messengers have passed on before him, so if he was to die or to be killed, would you turn back on your heels to unbelief? And he who turns back on his heels, will never harm Allah at all, but Allah will reward the grateful”

Umar bin khattab said, when I heard that verse, it was as if I was hearing it for the first time, he said my feet failed, so I fell down on the floor and I realized that Muhammad was truly dead, it was Abu bakr that brought them to reality, so the time came for the appointment of a leader, a khalifa, the people of Ansar wanted to appoint sa’ad as the leader, Umar wanted to speak, but Abu bakr asked him to seat, Umar obeyed since he didn’t want to annoy Abu bakr, because Abu bakr was short tempered, Abu bakr stood up to speak, and he said, whatever you ansar has said is the truth, when you said you were the helpers of Muhammad that’s the truth, he added a narration that he heard from the prophet, when he said “if the ansar would take one way, and others take the another, I will follow the ansar”, to praise them, then he said the arabs will never approve leadership from anywhere else except from the people of Quraish, then he took the hands of Abu ubayda and Umar that followed him, he took their hands up, and he said, I will be satisfied with any of these two men being the leader, so give allegiance to any of them, Umar said everything I wanted to say in my prepared speech, abu bakr has said all, even better with his impromptu speech, but what I didn’t like was his last statement, asking people to give allegiance to me, then Umar said, I would rather prefer beheading, than become a leader where Abu bakr is one of them, subhanAllah! He saw it as inappropriate, so Umar asked Abu bakr “extend your hands forward so I will give you allegiance” and then I gave my allegiance to Abu bakr, then the Muhajireen followed and then the ansar, Umar said, don’t you know that Muhammad has appointed Abu bakr to be the Imam, who among you can become a ruler over Abu bakr, can you lead Abu bakr in Salah? The said na’udhubillah, we seek refuge from Allah.

Abu bakr rulership was very short, it was just for two years, after a while Abu bakr became sick, it was so serious that abu bakr felt to himself that he would soon die, then on the fifteenth day of his illness, he asked his daughter Aisha, what day did the prophet died, she said on a Monday, Abu bakr said, and this is Monday, so I think that this would be my last day, he died on a Monday, Muhammad died on a Monday, he died at the age of 63, Muhammad died at the age of 63, so subhanAllah, he followed Muhammad(pbuh) in his life and in his death, his last words was, “my lord take me as a muslim and join me with the righteous(my closest friend, Muhammad)”, it was Umar that led the prayer of jannaza over Abu bakr, abu bakr was buried close to the grave of Muhammad. This is just a brief history of the life this great man, may Allah have mercy on him.

If I am chanced, I will also tell us that of Umar(r.a) the second khalifa of the Muslims, bi idhnillahi ta’ala

NOTE:- I DID NOT PROOF READ THE ARTICLE

Lexiconkabir, jazakumllah khairan. I always love reading about the companions, they were humans yet possessed great strength. They had their own flaws but they were elevated. Please add up the story of others, especially the khalifs. If you want I can help.

May Allah guide us to righteousness. Even amongst ourselves Muslims, see how divided we are, yet we expect to be able to hold on to the "rope of Allah " subhanallah.

Let's be moderate, let's accommodate, let's be respectful, you think you're better than the next person? You don't know if your last deeds is the ones that will make you lose your path. Likewise, you that think you are the worst, your last deed might be the one that will lead you to jannah. Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah..... and never be arrogant lest Allah shows you how stupid you really are.

May Allah rectify the affairs of this ummah, but we need to start by helping ourselves.
