How can it generate buzz on Nairaland, when this incident is a common scenario day in and day out in Nigeria?

@ topic armed robbers operating for hours ( without police intervention) has been happening in Nigeria for years now!
the police men most times are not well equipped to fight crime, they are in a situation where they are not well paid!, the armed robber have more sophisticated gun than the police, most times they complain they don't have gas( petrol) in their cars , when emergency calls comes in.

In some cases its been found out that some corrupt police officers even rent out their Gun to armed robbers to do their dastardly acts,or they( armed robbers) even bribe them off not to respond to sos calls when they the robbers are operating at a certain time and location.

it could also be fear for their own lives( the police) when this princes of darkness are operating

All in all The Nigerian police needs a complete overhaul and Upgrading

The topic is not representative of the myriad problems Naija is faced with, the crime issue is no new thing at all!

if you hear the sound of the guns those armed robbers carry you will not allow any nigerian police man to go near that place.

This does not happen in my Villa, and thats smack dab in the middle of Nigeria
I guess maybe we do need to analyse the situation if we ever want to radicate the problem,

This is no news and it has even generated enough buzz. Robbers will even rob a police station and nothing will happen.
