Lionel Messi has taken his unusual – and very striking – new look to England as his Barcelona team are training at St George’s Park ahead of their friendly with Celtic at the weekend.

It was inevitable that Messi and his Barcelona team-mates would attract plenty of attention at England’s training base – and indeed now Sam Allardyce’s workplace – but Messi’s new hairdo has certainly ensured that is the case more so than was originally anticipated.


Messi’s dramatic hairstyle reinvention was revealed by his wife on Instagram over the weekend amid wild hysteria on social media, and he’s been showing it off on the lush turf of St George’s ahead of the friendly with Brendan Rodgers’s men at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
