Bayelsa Governorship Election: Tribunal upheld The Re-election Of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson.

The Bayelsa Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja in a petition filed by the former governor of Bayelsa State, and flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Bayelsa governorship election, Mr Timipre Merlin Sylva has upheld the re-election of the incumbent Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson.

The three-man panel led by Justice Kazeem Alogba few minutes ago declared that, though the INEC REC has no power to cancel elections in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area on December 6th but uphelp the outcome of the exercise in favour of candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Henry Seriake Dickson, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) because the petitioner,and flagbear of the All Progressives Congress was unable to prove his case.
