Is a pathetic news to hear especially to Nigerians as a whole. According to a report by Daily Trust, the screening of the ambassadorial nominees took a dramatic turn when Okeke and Isa couldn't recite the National anthem and pledge properly. The report revealed further that when the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, asked the nominees, to recite the national anthem, they didn't only mix it up but were saved by Senator James Manager of the Delta South Constituency. And yet these ones are preferred candidates whose States were 'more qualified' to produce a nominee than others. 97% against 5%. |
