Veteran Yoruba comic Actor and Director, Mr Latin has picked September 21st, 2016 which is WORLD’S PEACE DAY for this years Annual Lecture of Mr Latin Foundation. According to City People Entertainment, the theme of this year’s lecture is, “The Role of Traditional Institutions as a Panacea for Peace, Unity and Stability in Nation building”.

The Mr Latin Foundation is a non-governmental outfit established by the renowned classical comedian cum actor, Bolaji Amusan with the primary aim of enlightening the general public on issues relating to Drug abuse, Health, Marital and Child Rights while empowering the less privileged, particularly Youths and Widows with the intention to ensuring that they have egalitarian society.

The foundation was established with a vision to achieve an egalitarian society where personalities are trained to be self-sustaining and contribute effectively to nation building.

The event would host Royal Ambassadors of Peace, His imperial Majesty, Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo III (The Alake of Egbaland), His imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (The Ooni of Ife. OJAJA 1), His imperial Majesty, Jacob Gyang Buba (Gbongwon of Jos), His imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Adetunji (Olubadan of Ibadan).

The occasion would take place at the Main Auditorium Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Complex, OkeMosan Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Comedian Ali Baba would anchor the event that have dignitaries like King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall who is the chairman of the day and grand patron of the foundation, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga. the deputy governor of Ogun State and Her Excellency, Otunba (Mrs) Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori the Deputy Governor of Osun State are the Mothers of the Day. Guest Speakers are Prof. Akinwunmi Ishola and Prof. Peter Okebukola (OFR). The Board of Trustees Chairman, Dele Odule would also be present on that day.

The annual lecture, which will be holding for the 6th time, is usually an empowerment one. Mr Latin, who is also the founder of the foundation told the public via his Instagram page that he will be giving out to the widows and youth.

In his words he wrote: ‘Hi fans, the 6th Annual lecture of Mr. Latin Foundation is set to hold on September 21st, 2016; The World Peace day with the theme; “The Roles of Traditional Institutions as a panacea for Peace, Unity and Stability in Nation building”. 100 Youths and widows are going to receive empowerment on the day with free medical care for all and a host of other events.

The event would also witness the commissioning of the New Permanent office of the foundation which is now at No. 5, Ajegunle Street, Off Abiola Way, Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The old office was at 20 NUD Road, opposite NUD Primary School, Isabo Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
