This is such a sad thing for me to report this afternoon. Just two days after we were all happy that Nigerians kindly donated to cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed, for surgery she needed for ovarian cancer, LIB just learnt that Mayowa and her family scammed kind hearted Nigerians.

You see, Mayowa is really sick. She truly has Ovarian cancer. She's admitted at LUTH but she didn't need money for surgery, because doctors had told Mayowa she was beyond treatment and no hospital in the world could treat her as she was extremely far gone. The doctors, unfortunately, already told her family she would die soon and had advised them to take her home. Her family knew this, but they still used her situation to raise money from Nigerians. The doctors in LUTH have also denied giving her family a medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad.

Toyin Aimakhu, who was one of those who spearheaded the fundraising, as you read this, is at LUTH right now with police officers. Some people also went to the family's home and the place is locked up. Will share video from the fight at LUTH, involving Toyin and one other donor later...

more later!

Too many contradictory news everywhere these days, i wont be suprised to see the family denying this before the end of the day. . . (just like Mikel donate to Olympic Team....... Mikel denies donating to Olympic Team!...... One has to listen to the both sides before rushing to comment these days........ And for all of you saying she is beyond treatment, are you God? May God forgive you all, especially my friend Linda! If Mayowa happens to be your family member atleast you will keep trying as long as she is still breathing I rise!!

So we should believe this because a web traffic seeking vampire says so. Let us wait and see what unfolds before passing judgement

Trying to save someone at the end stage of cancer?

You can only provide the person with palliative care paying more attention to pain control and comfort so he or she dies with dignity.

They apparently knew there was no remedy as they must have been told so by doctors. There was no need to raise that money.

So you went and dubbed Linda Ikeji's nonsense and you are forming "ajaywrites just learnt"?

When will you bloggers learn to verify information before dishing out lies?

So because LUTH doctors can't help, she should just die without trying other hospitals in the world?
Why do you think politicians don't bother using Nigerian hospitals?
Hope you remember LUTH spoiled her womb too?

Lalasticlala, this info is not verified please close the thread as its misleading.

Why am I not surprised?
Nigeria is such a country where anything goes. Such an expensive national prank, helped by the fact that though vastly educated, we're more emotional than objective.
I'm not gonna be one of those who would say "Thankgod I didnt fall for it", yes I didn't fall for it, buh what happened to the regulatory agencies (NBC, BON, Min of Health) who were supposed to verify such conditions before it goes on air?
This is the same way religious organizations play on our over religiosity to prank us off our monies in ways more hypnotic than real.

My friend, if charities need money, they can come out and request for it. Let's not excuse this on sympathetic grounds.
What do you make of this?

I think the CMD of LUTH needs to come out and address this issue. Is it true that they can't manage ovarian cancer, even if it's stage IV? That's gonna be a big shame on luth, real big embarrassment.
