HungerBAD: This is discrimination. When you offer a position on the basis of skin color, then that is discrimination. |

This is so sad. Discriminating against your people even in their own country? They go to Asian countries, they are discriminated against, they come back to their country same same... So sad. |

Well is a privately owned company, so the employers can employ whoever they want to employ for any position. Is nobody's business. |

fiizznation: Well, in insane climes, yes. It is nobody's business. In saner countries no one else can be employed to fill a position that the country has citizens who are professionals and can comfortable handle such roles/positions. In France, before a foreigner can work there, the company must justify to the Government why a foreigner if filling up the role. That proof must show that there is not French Citizen capable of performing such a role. Whether private or public Service. Unless you a from the EU then the rule is relaxed. Most of the blacks there handle menial jobs like Security, Store Keepers, Cleaners, etc. Remember Ghana and when their Oil and Gas Industry started. They were alleged to have passed a policy that any role to be occupied by a black man must be occupied by a Ghanaian. Nigerians working with Drilling Semi-Subs had to be removed from their drilling projects in Ghana and re-deployed to other countries. Even in Nigeria we have our local content laws. There is a minimum number/ratio of expats. To locals that is allowed. And it must be justified. There are many more examples of how sane countries protect the jobs for their citizens. Secondly observe in the advert. The Asian is not mandated to have a degree but the Kenyan is expected to have one to be a store keeper! So your skin colour/race automatically means you are qualified. Naaah. If it is allowed by the Kenyan legal system then so be it. But even if it is, and I am a Kenyan, I will push that is be changed! |

fiizznation: in the united states, this is a law suit waiting to happen. Denying anyone an opportunity cos of their race, gender, age or disability status is a punishable crime in upwardly mobile countries. Regressive practices such as the one advertised above can only be found in Africa. |
