This is understandable. The purchasing power is diminishing, so people have to cut costs, wise thing to do and exactly the strategy of present govt. Most property companies are greedy in the first place, they want to recover their investments in one year, instead of at least 20 years spread.

Who do we blame, PDP wasted all our savings on importation and subsidies payment in trillion instead of building a refinery to stop importation and refine locally.

No survival resources,Nigeria savings is zero. If you can't manage the good times how can you manage the bad times.

We finished ourselves with importing petroleum products an essential commodities for 16 year's paying trillion naira subsidies something we can produce locally if our leaders are sincere and serious.

Nigeria is a very funny country, in times like these prices of items should be coming down but no not in my dear country Nigeria, we are so greedy not to recognize reducing purchasing power.

Most items n Nigeria are way over priced, but instead of businesses to use their common sense, they prefer to wallow in their foolishness and blame Govt in return. I know most folks are just waiting for prices to tumble before buying properties as it has been predicted since last year that real estate prices will crash but the Nigerian jazz no dey send basic economic principles. Nonsense

Instead of reducing the price for average citizens to rent the properties, they remain stagnant or rather increased the fee making it difficult even for the rich to go for it.

Why would I put 5 million on a rent where I can use such money to buy land and build my house to a completed state at Ibafo, igando or agbara.
don't mind those jankara economics analysts jare. Does it make any economics sense for any reasonable individual to be spending millions on rented apartment every month when he can easily afford a plot in any of the suburbs and build a befitting house for himself. People should equally realize that most conduit pipes are now being blocked. No free money to steal and squander anyhow.

Look at russia.... North korea.... They shored up their currency saying its gud.... Bug for how long
Dose houses wik crash down like fast
Go watch the big short ul understand say dem go crash at this current rate
This is wat happened in big short..... Banks wer doin manipulation till they cud not anymor

Those properties wil fall because.... Oil companies they sack anyhow
Sacked workers will look to cash out right.... Put huge price no one buys..... Frustrated man will reduce asking pricd hugely..... Ppl wil hear it was snapped up and den oda properties will reduce asking price

Or all those choice propeties listed 250 million for justv4 bedroom oh..... Will see interest has waned..... As ppl save more in this trying times instead of invest. Dey will have to cut their losses by slashing theor prices. Once it starts at lekki all oda places in lagos will do same
Property boom period has gone..... Na only politicians and celebrifies get money to throw way these days

I say amen to all your postulations but seriously it beats me, by now we should be witnessing all your postulations. This bad economy will begin to have a respite when prices begin to tumble, its not as disastrous as people think. People just need to spend more when prices come down and we might be on our way to recovery.

No mind them...as you drive through some streets off admiralty way many houses have "To Let" notices @ the gates from year to year...Does it make economic sense? i will advise them to go for a 10% reduction or more so as to be patronized,Most Ancestors that rent those houses for their babes are trying to cut cost by downsizing on the number of babes on their sexual payroll grin
