According to reports from New York, the Consulate General of Nigeria is not issuing passports to Nigerian Citizens and this has been going on for a while.
The Consulate reportedly posted a notice which revealed that they would not be processing passport applications until further notice and this is due to some technical issues they are currently facing.
Even people that have paid for the passports are also not getting any good response. Hence, Nigerian Citizens have to apply for visa before coming back to their country.

Other government agencies in and outside Nigeria are facing the same problem - Lack of funding from FG.

These agencies generate money for FG through TSA but gets nothing in return from FG to service their offices and equipments.

Secondly, the absence of ambassadors and head of parastatals in most of these agencies have not helped matters. They've been like sheeps without a shepherd, and therefore the red tape which requires these heads to break remains.

I suppose the PMB is taking his time to overhaul the corrupt and dilapidated system- which is good! But he has to act fast now!

PMB has to understand one principle in management: you must set aside money for reinvestment.
