Its all about Angola! Venezuela is in chaos, Angola is going deeper into it, I think Nigerians should be grateful!

These nations are our contemporaries- oil wealth with no diversification... something I think all Nigerians-zombies n wailers inclusive, are agreed upon.

The fact that we have a govt that could change d trajectory of d past govt,- contractors were unpaid, salaries were owned, security votes were looted - should be appreciated and criticized constructively. Our case could av been like our contemporaries, whose economies are actually collapsing with d advent of d fall in oil prices! Salaries are being paid, backlog of debts to contractors are cleared, war on terror is still going stronger and even expanding to include militants, d budget is being increased instead of slashed drastically, as at june, govt still had an increase in revenue and all these from a crude oyel dependent nation being lead by a certificate-less, gworo-chewing, cattle-rearing President Buhari!?! Let us appreciate and pray for d best!

There is nothing unique in this administration's handling of our economy my friend, these nations are socialist economies that subsidize most of their services to her citizens unlike nigeria were we are used to capitalist exploitation for ages. The old USSR suffered a similar economic hit caused by over spending in defense budget in a bid to catch up with the west in their race for military superiority. She became so cash-strapped that Gorbachev had to introduced glastnost and perestoika in the early 90s, which eventually led to her disintegration and the fall of the iron curtain. Though GEJ left a not too healthy economy, the present managers did not handle the procedure properly.

How did u expect them to have handled d procedure? As it is, they've done a somersault at several points, using diverse expert positions, yet non seems to reverse d decline. The only thing I see working presently is blocking avenues for leakages n stepping up d tax collection. That in itself is unique in an African setting!

Unique indeed! Obasanjo inherited a worse economy plundered by past successive military govt. in what american newsweek magazine once described as tropical gangsters. But obasanjo hate him if you like came out from prison without an inkling of ever being the president, assembled an economic team working with a blueprint called the NEEDS document, paid off our foreigm debt which was mind boggling, consolidated the banks, licensed gsm operators introduced policies to stop leakages called monetisation and left a heathy treasury when handed over. The government of Yardua reversed some of those policies such that there was large scale looting during the period he was sick. GEJ messed up big time too because he compromised a lot, and allowed looting of our economy to go unhindered. PMB, unlike OBJ, came in without any masterplan to tackle the economy even as at this moment; considering the fact that he has been aspiring to lead for many years. The delay in presenting an economic direction, assembling an economic team, making volatile economic statement and decisions, was not only unhealthy, but catastrophic for our economy

Read read!!!

Dressing a tyrant in royal robes?!

Do u see a Saraki calling Obj's bluff? Or av u forgotten Adenuga was hounded into exile? PMB tried doing all that d 1st time around and was labeled a dictator, now he his trying to be a gentleman, some want d past?!

Obj was using ghana-must-go bags to achieve his aim, do u expect PMB to toe that line? Obj had great plans, but they never lived after him, cos d path he took was corrupt. I believe u should av realized, PMB wants his legacies to actually outlive him! He doesn't want his tenure to end and all his good works abandoned!

Can u name any of OBJ's effective team that can be said to be progressive at this time? Ezekwelisi comes to mind, but her impact was never outstanding. Soludo doesn't come across as dynamic.

In d long run, I forsee long term success from this govt!

The daughter of Angola's president has severally been listed as the richest woman in Africa. I wonder if she still holds the title.

She still does! I think she recently paid Nicki Minaj $2m to come perform at an event.
