Solomon Dalung told newsmen when he was asked to speak about Nigeria's U-23 football team stranded in the US after they refused to board a plane they said was too small to carry them to Rio, Brazil for the Olympics. Solomon had said:

"Our U-23 team suffering in the United States of Nigeria, What are there for? Because they are U-23 and they went to US and they are having problems, does that become our business? "

When Nigerians called Solomon a shame and barraged him with more reactions, he set his Twitter account to private.

Lol. This man shoud just resign. He's an embodiment of incompetence.

Everything he has touched since he became minister has been one embarrassment after another.

For a couple of years now, only Bolaji Abdullahi has done well as sports minister.

Administering sports no be by wearing red berret.

And yet this is the same country where you have people like segun odegbami, Larry Izamoje etc who have lived sports all their lives.

So shocking, shameful and ridiculous. This is the worst minister in this dispensation. Someone who is not even a sport lover is our minister of sports.. How can the ministry improve and grow?

Buhari is a disgrace. Not a single ministerial appointment was made based on professional and career leanings. All appointments were more like appeasements. Which minister in this administration rose through the ranks in that particular portfolio? Sigh
