During the Anniversary celebration, the Executive Governor, His Excellency Obong Godswill Obot Akpabio was Honored with the Title of Uko Akwa Ibom and the Paramount Ruler of Eket L.G.A Edidem Timtiniko Babaudo Enodien was appointed the Chairman of Akwa Ibom State traditional rulers council. Still on this occation the first air plane landed in Akwa Ibom International Airport which marks the beginning of a new dawn in air transport to Akwa Ibom State and the Governor commission the Ultra Modern Market call Urua Akpan Andem in Uyo.

Still in respect of the State celebration the Eket Community in the United Kingdom celebrate with the Governor of the State, His Deputy and the entire cabinet on their efforts so far and wishes him more successful year of Governance.
