Necessity they say, is the mother of all inventions. With the current economic hardship being experienced in the country, trust Nigerians to always look for palliative measures to cushion the effects of rising cost of living.

According to a Facebook user who posted this story, A young Nigerian undergraduate, invented and launched this 'Battery Powered Charcoal Cooking Stove' that works independently on it's own without electricity.

The Battery powered charcoal stove is powered on 4 pieces of battery and charcoal, So if you don't have money to buy a litre of kerosene which currently sells for N250.00 and above, this is an excellent alternative. According to it's inventor, this device can cook for days and it's relatively cheap,readily available at the cost of N2500.00 only!!!!

The function of the battery is to power the fan which in turn blows the charcoal.
