His Excellency, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano,
will celebrate his birthday on Monday the 8th of August, 2016.
The Governor very much appreciates the outpouring of love,
support and cooperation of ndi Anambra and other well wishers both at home and in the Diaspora for his administration.
The Governor also appreciates those who,
ordinarily would like to place goodwill and congratulatory messages in print and electronic media to commemorate the birthday.
However, His Excellency is by this announcement requesting all those who want to congratulate him on his birthday on the pages of newspapers,
magazines, or the electronic media, particularly, companies, organizations and agencies,
to donate the money that would have been expended on publishing or relaying such messages,
to charitable organizations like Physically Challenged Children and Motherless babies homes through the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
They will be appropriately acknowledged please.
His Excellency hereby urges ndi Anambra to also use the occasion of his birthday to pray for the peace and progress of the State so that the State will continue to remain a true beacon of light in Nigeria.
