Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode
Fisayo Falodi
The Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State on Thursday clashed over the performance of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration.
They described each other as confused political party.
The PDP, which set the stage for the clash, asked Ambode to be transparent and prompt in response to people’s plight.
The PDP said Ambode’s administration was cosmetic and distanced itself from the people in terms of explaining his government policies, gains and pains.
The PDP Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr. Taofik Gani, said Ambode’s government was not different from that of his predecessor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, which the party described as arrogant and poor in its interface with the public.
Gani said the PDP’s comment was informed by the failing sectors of the state’s governance in spite of the acclaimed huge sums invested in them.
He listed such sectors to include transport, agriculture, security, housing, social services and investments in form of shares in unspecified companies.
He said, “The strike by the drivers of the BRT buses over unpaid salaries further exposed the wrath and fraud in Ambode’s administration.
“This attitude of slow responses in such an important sector as transport confirms that the governor is far away from the people.”
But the APC Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, said the PDP was disoriented and confused by Ambode’s achievements.
He asked the PDP to keep quiet instead of displaying its confusion.
Igbokwe said, “The PDP in Lagos State is being ruled by the desire to say something to remain relevant as it is clearly overwhelmed by the records Ambode has set in such a short time.
“We understand the plight of the PDP and it is not an enviable one. A party that is dying on the futile dreams to capture Lagos and vandalise it as it did Nigeria for 16 years cannot but be pitied as it struggles to fend off an impending but certain death.
“Glancing through the incoherent ranting of Lagos PDP in its recent press statement, one can see a party struggling desperately but failing to put any coherent reasons to fault Ambode’s administration.”Www.supremereporters.com

Lagos-wise, APC takes the lead,

but at national level, I prefer not walking(PDP) than moving backwards (National Association of Herdsmen)

I see neither apc nor pdp, what am seeing is an array of greedy, selfish, treasury looters who have sworn to cripple this con3 and render her citizens helpless.
